LSU’s Angel Reese Has Message for Fans After Missing Game vs. Southeastern Louisiana

Before Friday's game against Southeastern Louisiana, LSU's Angel Reese failed to show up, leading to a number of suspicions over the Tigers forward's absence.

In Tuesday's game against Kent State, Reese was benched for much of the second half, which set off a lot of rumors. That was referred to as a "coach's decision" by coach Kim Mulkey, who provided no further information.

Although Reese hasn't yet provided an explanation for his absence from the game, he did directly address the rumors on Sunday.

Reese wrote, "Please don't believe everything you read," on X, the platform that was once known as Twitter.

Mulkey offered no reason beyond saying that Reese "is a part of this basketball team, and we hope she's back with the team soon" following Friday's game. "I'm not going to answer any more than that," she continued.

Reese's availability for Monday night's game against Texas Southern, the defending national champs, has not been disclosed.
