Lines on Lines

Ive been thinking… What really makes a writer a writer,  you know? What makes a poem worth reading. For me, if a poem isn’t repetitive, like you haven’t heard it over a million times. Some writers out there just copy and paste a poem and change some words in it, then just sign their name on the bottom, i really don’t think thats original or even considered writing. You can really tell if someone really puts effort into a piece of work. But other than that, all writing is writing, all poetry is poetry. It all depends how the reader interprets it. Some readers will hate the work, some will love it. I can’t say I’ve done my best in some works, but i have put my heart into a lot of them. Through the struggles of drafts and crossing out lines on lines on lines, it pays off in the end.
